Abstract :
This paper is concerned with stability robustness of digital control systems, where the controllers are implemented with fixed-point arithmetic. An analytical approach is proposed to transferring the original stability robustness problem to an equivalent smooth and unconstrained minimization problem. A simple optimization algorithm based on a closed-form gradient formula is developed to solve the later problem efficiently.
