Abstract
A baseband analogue module LSI with TDMA controller has been developed for GSM application. This paper presents an ADC for the receive path for which low power consumption was the main design requirement. The current mode delta-sigma ADC with multi-bit feedback was adopted. Generating the reference voltages for the comparators by current integration, the ADC steadily achieved high resolution and low power 1-mW dissipation. This chip was implemented in a 0.35µm CMOS process.
