Abstract
A 3.6 V analog low power time-to-digital converter (TDC) with a resolution of 10 ps and dynamics of 18 bit has been developed. For time differences Δt ≤ 10 ns, the non-linearity error is less than ±12 ps at σ<25 ps. The measuring time is 1 ms, independent of the input time difference. The TDC is produced in a 2µm CMOS low threshold voltage process.
