Abstract :
A development program was undertaken to establish design criteria for a maximum efficiency 10 KW CW transmitter at 4.4-5.0 GHz using state-of-the-art techniques. The transmitter was defined as the final amplifier transmitting tube, its focusing mechanism, if any, and its cooling system.
