Abstract
The current situation of photovoltaic generation industries and its progress towards the next Giga-watt production phase is discussed. It is observed that photovoltaic generation system installations are expanding to all corners of the world and that prices of photovoltaic generation systems continue going down. It is expected that photovoltaic generation systems will become a competitive power generation source within 2010-2020 and that photovoltaic generation systems will make a key role in social contributions as a vital energy supply source and as an important industry.
