Abstract
A novel tunable frequency selective surface (FSS) is presented that can simultaneously block both polarisations, vertical and horizontal. The filter, which consists of convoluted dipole elements, can be tuned over a wide frequency range within the C-band frequency spectrum, at around 5.2 GHz. Its tunability is achieved by employing lumped element varactor diodes.
