Abstract :
This contribution focuses on a calculation approach for the analysis of composite materials. The scattered fields of the inclusions are decomposed into multipole fields. The latter are linked to the incident field via characteristic multipole polarizabilities. As an example, the scattering and interaction behavior of helical inclusions - basic elements of artificial chiral media - is investigated in the frequency domain including the resonance case.
