Abstract
In this paper, both fuzzy adaptive state feedback and output feedback sliding mode controllers are developed. In designing, fuzzy logic systems are used to model the unknown nonlinear system, and a sliding mode control scheme is proposed for SISO nonlinear systems. Both state feedback and output feedback control laws and parameter update laws are derived. By using Lyapunov theory, the stability and robustness of the closed-loop system is proved.
