  • Abstract
D-S evidence theory is one of important methods in dealing with multisource information. Although the D-S combination rule has been criticized by many researchers, it has several important properties such as commutativity, associativity and convergence. Those alternatives can´t meet the properties more or less. In this paper, we propose a new combination rule based on consensus to deal with the conflicting beliefs from distinct information sources. Some numerical examples are given to compare it with existing methods.
