Abstract
Recently, many research focused on the providing efficiency and the scalable multimedia on demand (MoD) services. However, not only resources requirements for content distribution, cost of content production, as well as the user´s aptitude are different from the experience we got from cable TV but also the MoD specialties of the interactive and transmedia can not be emphasized by the above systems. This paper introduces a MoD platform which is based on the peer to peer (P2P) networks. We design a new business model, and put it into operation to share contents by integrated P2P technique and sharable content object reference model (SCORM) concepts. We also establish a system using the cosine R-tree data structure to overcome the shortcomings of system loading, content features clustering, contents redistribution and user queries.
