Abstract :
In this paper, we consider the problem of channel estimation and multiuser detection in the presence of a small residual carrier offset for an asynchronous CDMA system. We propose, in particular, a method based on the generalized eigenvalue problem for efficiently estimating the channel response and the carrier offset jointly and blindly. Although the proposed algorithm is suboptimal relative to the maximum likelihood estimators, it provides closed-form solutions and has much less complexity in computation. Simulation results are given to verify the validity of the proposed method.
