Abstract :
This Summer 2014 issue marks the third issue of the sixth year of IEEE Solid-State Circuits Magazine. In this issue, we are pleased to feature Prof. Rinaldo Castello. We thank Prof. Andrea Baschirotto for serving as guest editor for this issue. We also present a feature article, "Rinaldo Castello: Trying to Balance Industry and Academia with Family Life: A Pattern of Life\´s Gifts and Trials That Combine Themselves to Make a Beautiful Picture, by Rinaldo Castello. We also present 10 expert articles on this topic.
