Abstract
In this paper two methods are proposed to improve the performance of the MIMO-OFDM systems in the presence of inter-symbol interference: special training sequence design and simplified channel estimation. The special training sequence has a desirable crest-factor both in time domain and frequency domain. By using this sequence no matrix inverse is required. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional method with respect to the mean square error of the estimated channel in the presence of ISI by more than 20 dB if the SNR is high.
