Abstract
In recent years, there has been an upsurge of interest in relay-augmented infrastructure-based networks. And the radio resource management of relay system has great influence on the system performance. This article presents two frequency reuse schemes based on fixed relay system. Scheme I let the second hop link (between fixed relay node and mobile station) reuse the frequencies of the adjacent cells and scheme II reuse them in the first hop link (between base station and fixed relay node). The comparison of power consumption and carrier-to-interference ratio between the two schemes has been achieved. Theoretical and the simulation results show that the latter scheme has better performance than the former one.
