Abstract
Layered space-time codes (BLAST) architecture can achieve high channel capacity by deploying multiple transmit and receive antennas. In practice performance of BLAST is commonly limited by error propagation. To avoid this impact caused by hard decision, this paper proposes a parallel iterative detection method for uncoded BLAST system. Based on soft information of co-antenna interference, the proposed method mitigates error propagation through iterative interfere-cancellation process. Comparing it with some successive cancellation algorithms, simulation results have shown that the usage of iterative detection and soft information has greatly improved the performance of BLAST system.
