Abstract
A novel method that uses a simple and fast iterative algorithm to recover the group delay of any fiber Bragg grating from its measured transmission spectrum is described. Its benefits over leading techniques in this field are much greater speed, simplicity, and high accuracy even in the presence of significant experimental noise.
