Abstract
In this paper we proposed a low complexity receiver structure for smart and phased array antennas. A new technique for amplitude and phase weighting in microwave domain is introduced. Signals over different antenna elements are sampled using pulses with adjusted time delay and duty cycles. An eight element dipole array is employed to study the receiver performance. The system is simulated, including mutual coupling to study the performance of system with real antennas arrays
