Abstract
In this paper, we have developed the novel field decomposition for the point matching method. Using this technique, various types of polygonal geometries can be treated by using the same field expansion. This is the great advantage compared with the former method. We have discussed the bistatic RCSs and computational accuracy, and shown that the relative error can be less than 10-5 for selecting the truncation mode numbers given by the convergence test
