  • Abstract
    An embedded novel planar inverted-F antenna with a notch ground plane has good impedance bandwidth for folded type mobile phone application is proposed. The proposed antenna patch is composed of radiator, frequency ratio tuner and a matching bridge, respectively. The radiator is located in top side of M-phone (no ground in this area). The proposed antenna, 7 mm in height, 30 mm in width and obtained bandwidth cover the EGSM (880-960 MHz) and DCS (1710-1880 MHz) bands. The loss between conducted power and TRP/TIS tested in working phone is less than 3 dB
