Abstract :
A method to evaluate and compare the coverage of different antennas is presented. This new criterion is intended to be physically meaningful to the antenna or RF system designer. It is also made to be an intrinsic characteristic of the antenna radiation. On this point, we emphasize the fact that the coverage criterion is calculated here considering the antenna placed in free space condition which is not representative of a real telecommunication environment
