Abstract :
Even though antenna separation is not enough (the sample antennas are a pair of dual band PCB antennas within 80×12mm dimensions), the correlation coefficient is not close to unity and performance of the MIMO system is maintained. The experiments indicate that a MIMO system can achieve a good performance even for antennas with correlation coefficient |γ| ≤ 0.5 and 0.05λ of the closest distance between the antenna elements.
