Abstract
The effect of inter-element mutual coupling in a typical wireless communication antenna array is studied using the finite difference time domain method. The array consists of 16 half-wavelength fat dipoles that are non-uniformly spaced. The result obtained by the array multiplication approach is compared with that obtained from the finite difference time domain method in order to show the influence of the inter-element mutual coupling.
