Abstract :
A method is suggested for suppressing the leakage in a modified dielectric slab-loaded channel guide. An additional dielectric rod is inserted inside the slab so that the leakage can be restrained efficiently. Numerical results demonstrate how to control the dimension, the offset and the dielectric constant of the interior rod to inhibit the leakage produced by the asymmetric placing of the slab, which is sometimes ineluctable in a practical circuit. Also, the frequency characteristics of the leaky suppression are given to show how to adjust the additional dielectric rod to arrest the leakage in a designated frequency band.
