Abstract
Analysis of forward scattering of electromagnetic waves by random rough sea surfaces is of interest in maritime communication. The purpose of the present paper is to numerically evaluate the correctness and accuracy of Uscinski and Stanek´s method (USM). In an attempt to fix the deficits of USM, we present here a hybrid method combining it with FSIE. We then compute the roughness generated normalized equivalent admittance and compare it with the first-order smoothing approximation (FOSA), which is valid for rms height deviations of the order of a wavelength.
