Abstract
The optical models of distributed Bragg reflectors (DBRs) with even and odd number of alternating quarter-wavelength bilayers are considered. The distributions of light wave field amplitude and power flow density along the structures are obtained by the method of single expression (MSE) through numerical simulation. Spectral characteristics of DBRs with and without losses in the layers are analysed. By obtained results the optimal configuration of DBR is suggested for application in microresonators of photonic devices.
