Abstract
This paper deals with extending OPC-DA model which takes into account the access right of multi user in the field bus environment. The basic concept is to provide not only flexibility but also extraordinary security with manufacturing system using OPC (OLE for Process Control) and Microsoft´s Distributed Security Services. Our model, designed with component-based 3-tier architecture (resource, logic, and present), makes it possible to provide various benefits such as the enterprise application´s features with manufacturing system or industrial application. Resource tier manages connecting information about instruments and database´s access point. Logic tier generates rea4 processing, and virtual access points from instruments´ and database´s access points, and encapsulates them by extracting security information on Active Directory Services using ADSI (Active Directory Services Interface). Presentation tier manages connection, and supports various devices through identify for access´s devices type and dynamic view generation.
