  • Abstract
This theme in the history of architecture concerns the most mysterious category. In particular, it concerns ancient pagan sanctuaries and temples (dwellings of Gods). Its separate aspects already considered by N. Lok´er, K. Mihalovsky, F.K. Pen-rouz, B.A. Ruibakov, T.F. Savarenskaja, G.S. Haw-kins, S.M. Hmuilov and many other scientists. However till now there was no uniform point of view on this problem. In this work we consider the variants of canons orientation of cult constructions on cardinal points - latitudinal and meridional axes.
