Abstract :
In this paper, we present an improved technique for MSE analysis of a GA for a second-order adaptive IIR notch filter. An expression for the MSE of the variable coefficient is derived by accurately approximating the power spectral density (PSD) of its steady-state fluctuation about the mean value. Accuracy of the expression is compared with expressions derived from previously proposed techniques. Simulation results are presented to substantiate the validity of the analysis
