Abstract :
After an overview of the different topologies dealing with multi-functional architecture, this paper introduces and then describes the future multi-functional and multi-standard frequency synthesizer called the frequency generation unit (FGU) dedicated to provide local oscillators for various communication links. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the functionality of this structure through behavioral simulations.
