Abstract :
The theoretical and experimental characterisation of high power, coherent laser arrays are presented. Optical output powers in excess of 2.8 W/facet are achieved in a nearly-diffraction-limited beam, measured without lenses, corresponding to 275 MWcm-2srad-1 brightness
