Abstract :
Kinetics of Cr2+:ZnSe photo-luminescence under UV, Visible and MIR pumping are studied. Cr2+:ZnSe lasing using 532nm excitation is reported. Photo-conductance experiments verify (2+)→(1+)→(2+)* ionization transitions of chromium ions resulting in Cr2+ excitation.
