Abstract :
Epitaxial layers of Yb:KLu(WO4)2 were grown on KLu(WO4)2 substrates and highly efficient cw (66% slope efficiency and 415 mW output power) and passively mode-locked (114 fs pulse duration) operation at 1030 nm is demonstrated.
