  • Abstract
    A 1.5 μm single-photon detector, which combines up-conversion in a PPLN waveguide with a silicon avalanche photodiode, is used to demonstrate photon-counting OTDR. The system exhibits good sensitivity, high spatial resolution and small measurement time.
