Abstract :
Initial stages of supercontinuum generation in SF6 extruded photonic crystal fiber are experimentally studied with X-FROG and spectral measurements. Self-steepening is clearly observed and its role in generation of anti-Stokes blue shifted spectral components is highlighted.
