Abstract :
The performance of a brushless DC motor (BLDCM) system with two sets of control channels is presented in this paper. It is used in an electro-mechanical actuator (EMA) of the next generation aircraft. The torque characteristic and power loss are discussed in the case of the fault tolerant operation, the copper loss effecting on the system dynamic characteristic in the fault-tolerant operation is analyzed. The operation characteristics of two modes in the EMA system are also simulated and analyzed. Finally the frequency response experiment of the sample is given.
