  • Abstract
    Error-free 10 Gb/s data transmission using an InGaAs QD-laser over 4 km single-mode fibre and 300 m multi-mode fibre is demonstrated for the first time. The spectral linewidth of the QD-laser is the dominant limitation on transmission distance.
