Abstract
To turn an ideal mobile sensor network simulation model into reality, terrain is one of the inevitable factors we have to consider. This work is the first attempt to address this issue, by studying the behavior of mobile sensors under constraints of terrain. Specifically, we study the power consumption and the loss ratio of mobile sensors when they are moving on different terrains. These two metrics are utilized to select the best destinations, the best paths to the destinations, and match these destinations with mobile sensors.
