Abstract
The performance of DWDM 2×10.7 Gbit/s-DQPSK is assessed comparing mid-link optical phase conjugation (OPC) and DCF for dispersion compensation. We report a 44%-increase in transmission distance resulting from nonlinear phase noise reduction by using mid-link OPC.
