The ATLAS liquid argon calorimeter: construction, integration, commissioning and performance from selected particle beam test results

Abstract :
Construction of the ATLAS liquid argon calorimeter is now complete and integration with the ATLAS detector in the cavern at LHC Point 1 is currently in progress. Here we briefly review the design of the calorimeter and discuss the status of the integration, test beam studies and plans for commissioning.
