Abstract :
We demonstrate, one example of the requirement of taking into account physical impairments occurring at the wavelength level. Simulations reveal the superiority of protocols that rake the nonlinear impairments (e.g., four-wave mixing (FWM) into consideration during routing and wavelength assignment phase)
