Abstract :
We report that pump-noise induced FWM effects can be serious for some NZ-DSF fibres using distributed Raman amplification. Moreover, we find that such an effect strongly depends on the spectral structure of the pump, and can be suppressed by expanding the effective spectral width of the pump
