Abstract :
LMS is suboptimal for ASE-dominant systems but various dithering approaches suffer fream slow adaptationi rate without guarantee or convergence. We propose to apply higher-order algorithms in Least-Mean-Nth-Order family resulting in > 2dB less in OSNR penalty.
