Abstract :
We develop a set of algorithms to retrieve wind vector in the paper. The algorithm consists of oceanic algorithms and atmospheric algorithms. The inputs for oceanic algorithms include wind speed and direction, sea surface temperature, and sea surface salinity. There are two sets of inputs for atmospheric algorithms: one is down-welling atmospheric brightness temperature and transmittivity, the other is atmospheric water vapor contents and liquid water contents. We analyze the accuracy using the two sets of atmospheric inputs, respectively, with theoretical results from fully microwave radiative transfer equations.
