Abstract
A method to design dual passband filter (DPF) with a single nonuniform transmission line (NTL) is presented. By solving the Zakharov-Shabat inverse scattering problem, the impedance profile of the NTL can be calculated with the reflection coefficient. A numerical experiment is carried out, given the frequency characteristic of a DPF; the geometry of the NTL can be effectively reconstructed.
