Abstract :
A narrow-band preamplifier for fiber-optic millimeter-wave wireless system is presented based on a fully stabilized pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT) 0.12 μm technology. The preamplifiers are designed with shunt feedback and T-section matching networks. These matching networks are realized narrow-band filtering function. A single 4×1.5 mm chip, with four amplifying stages, shows transimpedance gain of 53 dBΩ, with idBΩ, ripple around the center frequency.
