Abstract :
This paper investigates the transmission characteristic of ultra wide band radio through a single mode radio-over-fiber system. The UWB pulse radio has a frequency span of 3GHz to 6GHz and is transmitted through a single mode optical fiber using a laser and a photodiode. BER measurements will be presented to evaluate the performance of the ultra wide band radio.
