Abstract
In this paper, a novel design of microwave resonator, whose bandwidth and quality factor can be obtained arbitrarily without counting toward resonant frequency, is presented. According to this design, such resonators are made up of two congruent coupled line sections, and changing the resonators quality factor and half-power bandwidth are realized simply by changing the gap between two conductors. This advantage of the proposed resonators allows us to design ultra-narrowband filters easily. Also, some numerical and experimental results of the filter are also presented in this paper.
