Abstract :
The finite element method (FEM) is an efficient method for the complex media problems. In this paper, FEM is used for the analysis of a resistivity tool in the three-dimensional inhomogeneous media. Mainly the influence of the size of tool pad on the measurements is studied. The analysis results can be applied to the design of this type of tool.
