Abstract :
In this paper, V-BLAST is combined with Alamouti STBC in a MIMO system to take advantages of both schemes. The transmitting antennas are divided into two groups based on the ordering information obtained from the feedback of the OSIC detector at the conventional V-BLAST receiver. The architecture of the proposed system is presented and its BER performance is evaluated in slow fading Rayleigh channels. Simulation results show that 1.5-2 dB SNR gain can be achieved in comparison with the conventional V-BLAST algorithm.
