Abstract :
A new method for UTD ray tracing is given in this paper based on NURBS modeling, which solves the obstacle that the existing methods cannot deal with complicated practical models. As examples, we apply the algorithm to some typical simple models and get good results compared to analytical methods, also we apply the algorithm to some arbitrary surfaces, the results are satisfying.
